Jeffrey Buis & Ferre Fleerackers
The race weekend at the TT Circuit Assen will go down as a historic milestone for the Track & Trades Wixx Racing Team. During the team’s home round — shortly after making its debut at world level — the team secured two race victories with Jeffrey Buis and Ferre Fleerackers. All of this took place on home soil, with strong support from fans, partners, sponsors, friends and family.

From the very first laps on Friday, it was clear that both riders had strong pace. In qualifying, Jeffrey delivered an excellent performance by securing a front row start with a second place. Ferre Fleerackers followed with a solid sixth position, placing both riders in an excellent position for the races.

Saturday’s Race 1 delivered an immediate highlight. In a strong and controlled race, Jeffrey took the victory — marking the very first win for the team in this new world championship. It was a special moment as the Dutch national anthem was played at TT Circuit Assen.

Fleerackers narrowly missed out on the podium, finishing in a solid fifth place. For the rider, the team and everyone involved in the project, it was an unforgettable moment — especially in front of the home crowd.

On Sunday, the team once again proved its strength. Both riders delivered an outstanding race and were consistently running at the front of the field throughout. Their performance was rewarded with a victory for Fleerackers, marking a special moment as the Belgian national anthem was played. Buis followed in third place, securing a double podium finish for the Track & Trades Wixx Racing Team. An impressive home round with results that exceeded expectations.

With these results, the Track & Trades Wixx Racing Team has clearly demonstrated its potential in its debut season at world level. The team has shown it can immediately compete at the front and continues to make important progress in this new championship.

Following this strong performance in Assen, Buis and Fleerackers now hold second and third positions in the championship standings. The next round of the FIM World Sportbike World Championship will take place from May 15 to 17 at Autodrom Most in the Czech Republic.

Wiljan Wikselaar (Team Manager):
“This is a result we are extremely proud of as a team. Behind the scenes, there has been a huge amount of work over the past months to reach this level. Long days, short nights, and a strong commitment from everyone involved have led to this moment. Our riders showed what they are capable of this weekend. They fought for every position and got the maximum from the package. To reward that effort during our home race in Assen with two wins and a double podium makes it even more special. Weekends like this are the result of true teamwork and give us great confidence for the rest of the season.”

Jeffrey Buis:
“This was a weekend to remember. From Friday onwards we were competitive in every session and consistently in the top three, which showed that our pace was strong. In both races I was able to fight at the front, including with my teammate Ferre. In Race 1 everything came together and we were able to take the win, followed by a third place in Race 2. Two podiums at our home race, and a double podium for the team, makes this extra special. To achieve this together with the Track & Trades Wixx Racing Team makes it even more meaningful. Thanks to everyone for the support this weekend — it was amazing.”

Ferre Fleerackers:
“The weekend in Assen is one I won’t forget anytime soon. In the first race it was disappointing to just miss out on the podium after a strong performance, but I was able to learn from that for Race 2, where I achieved my first victory in the world championship. To then stand on the podium together with Jeffrey at the team’s home race is an incredible feeling. I want to thank the team and everyone involved for this amazing weekend.”
Kas Beekmans
Friday marked the start of our home race weekend in Assen, and it began on a solid note. In the morning free practice session, the team secured P8—an encouraging foundation to build on. Later that afternoon, qualifying for the first race of the weekend took place, and Kas managed to find another step forward. With an impressive performance, he secured P4 on the grid. Notably, this mirrored his result from the previous round at Portimao, reinforcing the fact that he has the pace to consistently compete at the front.

Saturday was all about Race 1. The rider made a strong start and quickly established himself within the leading group that formed after the opening laps. While he was able to stay with the front pack, he lacked just enough speed to launch a real attack for the podium positions. Despite that, finishing in P8 marked an important milestone, as it brought his first World Championship points. A solid and rewarding result for both rider and team.

On Sunday, the focus shifted to Race 2. After analyzing Saturday’s performance, the team made some adjustments to the bike setup in search of improved race pace. Those changes ultimately paid off. This time, the rider was able to fight much more competitively within the leading group. Early in the race, the pace still seemed slightly too high to contend for a top result, but as the laps went on, the race started to come towards him. Gradually, he worked his way forward through the group, and with just one lap to go, he even briefly held third position. In the end, he dropped back slightly and crossed the line in P5—a result the team can be very pleased with.

All in all, it was a strong and encouraging home race weekend in Assen. The results show clear progress, and step by step, the team is moving closer to the top of the championship standings.
