1978 | GP125
Model positioned between the GT125 and the K125 commercial bike
The GP125 debuted as an accessible 125 cm³ street bike. Its 2-stroke 1-cylinder rotary disc valve engine is painted black to create a bolder impression. The engine was designed to emphasize gutsy torque in the low- and mid-rpm ranges with smooth performance at high rpms. It also achieves excellent fuel economy of 55 km/L (50 km/h steady state fuel economy*). This engine is combined with a lightweight diamond frame based on the GT100 to realize higher dynamic performance than the 2-cylinder GT125. Hydraulic front disc brakes equipped with automatically adjusting brake pads deliver stable and powerful braking force.
