Dual-purpose model that combines the Full Floater suspension and TSCC engine for standout riding performance
With motocrossers gaining greater popularity, the DR250S was developed to meet increasing customer demand for dual-purpose models. It pairs a freshly engineered lightweight diamond frame with a newly developed 250 cm³ 4-stroke air-cooled 1-cylinder SOHC engine. The DR250 is equipped with a dynamic and powerful engine that incorporates a four-valve Twin Swirl Combustion Chamber (TSCC) and generates a maximum horsepower of 22 PS alongside excellent fuel economy of 56.2 km/L (50 km/h steady state fuel economy*). To achieve superb ride comfort and handling, this model also features the Full Floater suspension that demonstrated superlative performance in motocross races around the world.

Off-road model with distinctive inverted front forks
A new model that was showcased as a concept at the 28th Tokyo Motor Show, the DR250S features the first inverted front forks adopted on a 4-stroke 250 cm³-class off-road production model in Japan. This model realizes an optimized balance between lower weight and greater rigidity, while enhancing maneuverability. The newly designed and easy-handling 250 cm³ 4-stroke oil-cooled 1-cylinder engine generates powerful acceleration throughout the whole rpm range. Combining oil cooling with a dry sump enhances lubrication and reduces heat within a compact engine package, helping to realize easier handling for entry-level riders while still achieving high-level performance that satisfies the demands of experienced enthusiasts. The DR250S suits a wide range of applications from urban to off-road riding.

Off-roader capable of handling a wide range of scenarios
The newly developed, compact, and lightweight 4-stroke oil-cooled 1-cylinder DOHC 4-valve engine delivers tenacious dynamic performance at low to mid speeds and smooth and easy-to-handle performance at high speeds. A compact chassis with a class-leading dry weight of only 111 kg is combined with features such as a newly developed front suspension and an aluminum swingarm to realize the nimble and robust performance suitable for a sporty off-road model. Other characteristic features of the DR250R include automatic decompression release and a self-starter. A model with a seat height 40 mm lower than the standard bike was also released to help riders place their feet on the ground more easily.
