1971 | Hustler 50
Classical 50 cm³ scrambler style and smallest model in the Hustler series
The Hustler 50 is a classical scrambler that features Ceriani type front forks and a 5-speed transmission mounted on a pipe backbone frame. Its 50 cm³ 2-stroke 1-cylinder engine generates maximum horsepower of 6 PS and maximum torque of 5.1 N·m, delivering the gutsy performance essential for a scrambler. Original motocross racing kit parts were prepared so that the model can be converted into a genuine motocrosser. The debut of the Hustler 50 completed the full lineup of the Hustler series, which ranges from 50 to 250 cm³ models.

Powered-up 50 cm³ Hustler with totally new riding performance
The Hustler 50 features a full range of technologies that delivered outstanding performance in motocross grand prix events around the world. Its 50 cm³ 2-stroke 1-cylinder engine is equipped with Suzuki’s unique power reed valve and generates maximum horsepower of 6.7 PS, as well as smooth revs and stable torque from low- to high- rpm ranges. This engine has an upright aluminum cylinder with large cooling fins for extended off-road riding, and the forward-tilted inverted rear suspension ensures ample stroke. This model also adopts extremely grippy 19-inch front and 17-inch rear semi-knobby tires with a large block pattern.

True entry-level off-road model
The Hustler 50 is equipped with the 50 cm³ 2-stroke liquid-cooled 1-cylinder engine that was successfully adopted in models such as the RM series. Gutsy torque in the low- and mid-rpm ranges is enhanced by the adoption of a power reed valve. Liquid cooling prevents any reduction in performance due to overheating when ridden for extended periods of time, helping to realize a new level of endurance and quietness. In addition, the Hustler 50 also features long stroke front and rear suspensions, including the Full-Floater rear suspension with a square pipe swingarm, as well as a large-diameter 21-inch front tire to enhance road handling.
