Thai Suzuki and its Cambodian dealer have been conducting market exploration in Cambodia to find ways to make boats used by fishermen more efficient, economic and dependable. The Great Lake Tonle Sap, site of the trials, is a major fishing location with as many as 2500 boats almost all of which use long tail engines, general purpose engines with an extended propeller shaft.
Suzuki is installing the DF6A and the DF30A 4-stroke outboards to let local fishermen test the benefits these products provide. The DF6A is compact and lightweight and offers mid-range torque for quick acceleration and the DF30A offers Lean Burn with Battery-Less Fuel Injection for quick start, awesome performance and superior fuel economy. The trial project is showing the reliability and economical operation of the Suzuki Outboards as well as their superior environmental impact.
