Suzuki Signs a Sponsorship Agreement with Figure Skater Yuma Kagiyama

Yuma Kagiyama

Suzuki Motor Corporation has announced that the company has signed a sponsorship agreement with figure skater Yuma Kagiyama, starting from April 2024.
The contract period will last until the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics, during which we will provide our all-new Swift as transportation, and he will serve as our "Suzuki Swift PR Ambassador".

The passionate aspirations of Yuma Kagiyama, who is aiming for a gold medal at the Milano Cortina Winter Olympics, and the all-new Swift, which has been refined with various technologies and its uniqueness have aligned, leading to this agreement. The "swiftness" that Yuma Kagiyama's skating possesses resonates with the Swift's nimble driving performance, the "artistry" with the Swift's sophisticated styling, and the "techniques" with the Swift's high safety performance. Carolina Kostner, Yuma Kagiyama's coach, is currently under a sponsorship contract with Suzuki Italia, and as a Suzuki Group, we are supporting unique and dedicated athletes who are active worldwide.
In addition, Suzuki operates its own athletics club team, "Suzuki Athlete Club". Top athletes, including Olympians, are conducting activities to convey the fun of athletics and the excitement and dreams that can be gained through sports to children, in athletics classes and “dream lessons” held in various regions.

■ Comment from Yuma Kagiyama

I am deeply honored to receive support from Suzuki, a manufacturer that sends out many cars with strong uniqueness to the world. I will strive day by day towards the Milan Olympics to be held in 2026. Also, I will work hard to realize the dream of getting the gold medal with my team; my father and coach Masakazu Kagiyama, and Coach Carolina Kostner.
