Notice regarding Change in Organization, Responsibilities of Officers, and Personnel (as of 1 January 2024)
Suzuki Motor Corporation will make the following change in organization, responsibilities of officers, and personnel of executive general managers and general managers as of 1 January 2024.
1. Change in organization
- - Technology Strategy, Automobile EV Engineering, Automobile Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Automobile Vehicle Engineering, Automobile Powertrain Engineering, Regulations and Certification, and India Engineering will be placed under Chief Technology.
- - Technology Strategy will be newly established to make strategies and lead their implementations for human resources, facilities, budgeting, and efficient development method (CAE/MBD) of engineering that would become the platform for technology development.
- - Automobile Electrical/Electronic/EV Engineering will be divided into Automobile EV Engineering, which will oversee EV engineering/battery engineering, and Automobile Electrical and Electronic Engineering, which will oversee electric/electronic/SDV, to clarify the technology development field.
- - Vehicle Regulations and Engineering Administration will be restructured and become Regulations and Certification.
- - EV Operations will become BEV Solutions.
[Technology Strategy]
- - Technology Platform Strategy Department and Automobile Experiment Analysis Department will be newly established.
- - Automobile Technology Planning Department and Automobile Dynamical System CAE/MBD Management Department will be transferred from Automobile Powertrain Engineering, and Automobile Structural System CAE/MBD Management Department and Environment, Material & Manufacturing Engineering Development Department will be transferred from Automobile Vehicle Engineering.
[Automobile EV Engineering]
- - E Mobility Development Department will be transferred from EV Operations, in addition to Automobile EV Design Department, Automobile EV/HEV Drivetrain Design Department, and Automobile HEV Design Department.
- - Automobile EV Battery Design Department and Automobile E3 Engineering Support Department will be newly established.
[Automobile Electrical and Electronic Engineering]
- - Automobile Communication and Security Development Department, Automobile ADAS Development Department, and Automobile Control Design Promotion Department will be newly established, in addition to Automobile Electronic System Development Department, Automobile Electrical Design Department, and Automobile E/E Advanced Development Department.
[Automobile Vehicle Engineering]
- - Automobile Vehicle Dynamic Performance Evaluation and Control Design Department will be newly established, in addition to Automobile Vehicle Engineering Planning Department, Automobile Vehicle Dynamics Design Department, Automobile Vehicle Experiment Department, Automobile Body Design Department, and Automobile Platform Design Department.
[Automobile Powertrain Engineering]
- - Automobile PT Reliability Evaluation Department will be placed, in addition to Automobile Engine Design Department, Automobile Drivetrain Design Department, and Automobile Powertrain System Design Department.
[Quality Assurance and Inspection]
- - Automobile Development Quality Evaluation Department will be transferred from Automobile Vehicle Engineering.
