Change in Organisation and Personnel
Suzuki Motor Corporation will make the following change in organisation and operational responsibility of director, appointment of managing officer, and personnel change of general managers as of 1 June 2020.
1. Change in Organisation
[Motorcycle Operations]
- - Motorcycle Company was newly established last year in order to turn into a profitable business, and they made efforts in reducing their fixed costs.
As the next step, in order to reinforce cooperation with each department and accelerate in improving profitability, the Motorcycle Company will be abolished and the Motorcycle Operations will be newly established. - - Motorcycle Administration Department, Motorcycle Planning Department, Motorcycle Design Department, Motorcycle Quality Supervision Department, and the newly-established Motorcycle Marketing Department will be placed under the Motorcycle Operations.
- - Structure of S.M.A.I. will be reinforced in order to accelerate improving profitability of motorcycle/ATV operations in the U.S.
[Marine Operations]
- - Preparation Committee for Establishing New Marine Company in the U.S. will be established under Marine Operations, in order to prepare to divide the marine operations from S.M.A.I. toward further expansion of profitability of the business in the U.S.
[Corporate Planning Office]
- - Automobile Electrical/Electronic Engineering Area of the Yokohama Laboratory will be transferred to the Corporate Planning Office.
