Ignis

The Ignis is a compact SUV concept created by Suzuki. This compact car (3.62 metres) is available in three or five door versions to meet all usage requirements.

The 3-door Ignis has a "sporty" look and feel.
In fact it has been used as the development basis for the design of the "Suzuki Ignis Super 1600" which is currently competing in the WRC Junior World Rally Championship.

The 5-door Ignis is more family-orientated, and is available in two or 4WDdrive versions.

The Ignis is compact and ideal for modern-day driving. Its interior volume and the versatility and size of its luggage space (181 to 419 litres), make it a car which is in tune with the demands of today's customers. The design of the cabin is based on the SUV concept, with a raised driving position and numerous storage areas under the floor, under the passenger seat and beneath the instrument panel.

In terms of safety, the all versions of the Ignis now offer ABS as standard. All versions have driver and front passenger front airbags and pre-tensioned front seat belts.

In terms of equipment, the Ignis has power steering, electric front windows and central door locking. The 5-door two and 4WD versions have alloy wheels, air conditioning, fog lamps and roof bars as standard.

The Ignis 4x4 / 5-door has 4x4 transmission. It uses a visco-coupler that automatically controls any loss of grip of the front wheels and automatically drives the rear wheels.
The Ignis 4x4 will appeal to all sports and leisure enthusiasts with its excellent traction, and its 175 mm ground clearance, two features which are so useful in snow, mud and even sand, enabling it to be used for any sort of outing.
This transmission also significantly increases safety when driving on roads, in particular when they are wet.

Engine
Highly efficient, small cylinder size engines combining both economy and performance are a speciality of Suzuki - and the 1.3 litre petrol version used to power the Ignis is no exception.
This totally electronic 4 cylinder multipoint injection engine is also very compact and lightweight (aluminium block and cylinder head). It delivers 61 kW (83 bhp) and a torque of 110 Nm at only 3.500 rpm. It is also economical, only consuming 6.4 litres/100 km in combined cycle use. An automatic gearbox version is available on the 2-wheel drive 5-door Ignis.
