Based on the engine used in the GSX-R1000 supersport bike for overseas markets, the power characteristics of the engine in the GSX-S1000 and S1000F were tuned to deliver powerful low- to mid-range torque without any drop in power at high rpms. The engine generates thrilling acceleration both on the street and on winding roads. Due in part to the adoption of a lightweight frame, the compact chassis delivers nimble handling and great road holding ability in a wide range of riding scenarios. Tapered handlebars with a revised angle enable a comfortable upright riding position, and both models are equipped with traction control and ABS as standard equipment. The GSX-S1000F features a distinctive fully faired design that protects the rider from the wind.

Street model equipped with specially tuned engine and chassis from the GSX-R1000
The GSX-S1000 is a street fighter model with exciting acceleration and agile maneuverability, the essence of which is originated from the street-tuned engine and chassis of the supersport model GSX-R1000.
In this new update, the model inherits the high controllability and sport performance from the previous model, while adopting an aggressive and progressive styling design. It also has increased engine power output, engineered with the newly adopted electronic control system S.I.R.S. (Suzuki Intelligent Ride System), that allow riders to enjoy both ease of handling and sport riding.

New-concept sport tourer with supersport DNA
The new GSX-S1000GT is a sport tourer with reinforced features and functions for sport touring, inheriting the DNA of supersport bikes. The new model has been engineered for both ease of everyday usage, and comfortability and high-speed stability during long touring. The newly adopted S.I.R.S. electronic controls and Suzuki’s first 6.5-inch full-color TFT LCD screen instrument cluster with smartphone connectivity, are highlighted features for the concept. The styling design reflects an outstanding and bold appearance of a typical sport tourer, while featuring sharp, flowing lines that convey its agile sportiness.
