Since June 2020 Suzuki Motorcycle Industry, Private Limited (SMIPL) has been using an innovative program to keep businesses running and customers on the road during the COVID-19 emergency. Suzuki at your Doorstep enables customers to search, test drive, buy and access after sales service at the click of a button. A toll free number with an option to connect with the nearest local dealership allows a customer to book a two-wheeler product online. Expanded to over 145 Indian cities and with over 370 participating dealers, the program allows potential and existing Suzuki owners a hassle-free process. Without visiting a dealer, and while maintaining social distancing, it is possible to order products, schedule a test ride or arrange for service at the caller’s doorstep. Service personnel will also make sure the motorcycle is carefully sanitized.
To purchase a new motorcycle from SMIPL there is a simple 5-step process. Firstly the customer chooses the product, and then as a second step, he/she makes the color selection. The third step is to choose a location for a dealer and the fourth, to select a payment mode. The final step is simple, to choose a date and time for delivery. We are all aware that the COVID-19 situation has made life more difficult for many people. But at times like these when motorcycles and scooters can provide reliable, quick and affordable mobility, avoiding public transportation with its COVID-19 risks, SMIPL has prepared the solution that keeps India on the road.
