Fun with Friends and Family at First Vitara Owners Meetup

from Taiwan

Vitara owners gathered at Bon Chill Glamping, a luxury resort in the attractive north-western city of Taoyuan, on 18 March 2023, to spend a day out with friends and family and to share their enjoyment in driving their Vitara, Suzuki’s popular SUV. A welcome opportunity to get together in person as the pandemic receded, this first ever Vitara Owners Meetup attracted 40 people from 10 families. During the day, professional coaches led the group of 12 Vitaras on an off-road adventure, exploring seldom travelled backroads and gravel byways beyond the populated areas outside Taoyuan City.

In the evening, participants attended a BBQ party which featured a session where one of the coaches explained how to get even more use out of the ALLGRIP features of their Vitara that they may not normally use such as the SNOW mode or the LOCK mode. At the party, one of the owners shared his fond personal memories saying, “I used to ride the Vitara with my family along unpaved roads in the mountains where cars like sedans cannot go and enjoyed the beautiful nature of Taiwan.

The first generation Vitara was introduced to Taiwan in 1988. And now, the fourth generation Vitara, launched in September of 2016, has sold over 12,000 units. The popularity of the Vitara in Taiwan’s market shows that customers there are very happy to be behind the wheel of a long-standing SUV that performs well in even the most challenging road conditions while also feeling at home in urban settings.
