Uramoto took 8th and 7th positions and fell to 7th in the series. However, he remained positive and motivated for the final race.“There is only one more round left in the season, and I plan to ride a good race and wash all my frustrations away.”Spanish Superbikes – Circuito de Jerez-Ángel Nieto - Round 7Uramoto was back at the front and raced to a double podium with 3rd and 2nd positions at the final round of the ESBK Spanish Superbike Championship at the Circuito de Jerez-Ángel Nieto in November. He was determined to get over his frustration from the previous round and started his race weekend working on improving machine settings and finished 6th fastest in FP1 and 3rd in FP2. In Saturday’s rain-shortened 10-lap race, he finished 3rd and in Sunday’s second race took 2nd, finishing the series 6th in the series on 159 points.the result I wished for but I am happy that I was able to take pole and finish both races on the podium. I am really thankful that my team worked hard for me. I would also like to thank Suzuki, JEG Racing, all the sponsors that supported me, and last but not least, my fans who have cheered me on for the whole season. I hope I can let you know of my plans “I wanted to win so bad so this wasn’t for next season as early as possible.”Uramoto and his Valencia-based JEG Racing Suzuki team made a deviation from the Spanish Superbike Championship in August to take a wildcard ride in the World Superbike Championship at the Circuito de Navarra, competing against the factory teams on his ESBK-specification GSX-R1000.The idea was to gain new experience and also practice ahead of the upcoming fifth round of the ESBK Spanish Superbike Championship a week later. He did not disappoint; in the opening race, from his 20th-placed grid position, he got into the points on lap 15 and fought hard to keep it but had to settle for 16th after being passed in the final corner. In Race 2, he climbed to 16th in the early stages but was forced to pit on the eighth lap due to a technical issue and had to retire from the race. “This became a valuable experience for me. I would be lying if I told you that I wasn’t a bit unhappy that the regular season riders were so faster than me, but then again, that also became valuable for me. I thank the team for the great opportunity.” WORLD SUPERBIKES – SPAIN – ROUND 7“The Buildbase Suzuki team were very supportive at Donington Park and said I did a good job so I am happy that they are happy. I look forward to being able to race in BSB again.” – BSB debutWORLD NEWS
