in the second part of the season.l8Alex Rins and Joan Mir under the floodlights of Losail International Circuit in Qatar for the first two rounds of 2021 MotoGP.Rins back and fit at the Dutch GP and ready to show his strength fullast one in Holland, have helped to boost our spirits and now that I’m fourth in the standings I can start to build. There are some tracks coming up that I really like, so I hope to keep adding solid points every weekend.” It’s a similar story over on the other side of the garage for Rins, who has also demonstrated great race pace but has had another unlucky start to the year:“In 2020 I had an injury at the beginning of the year which held me back, but I never lost my faith and I kept pushing until the end; this meant that I could achieve third in the championship and help Suzuki to win the Teams’ title too. This year is a similar story; a smaller injury but a lot of bad luck and DNF results. But I’m determined to keep fighting because I know I can get great results with my team and my bike, especially at some of the upcoming circuits like Silverstone (UK) and COTA (USA) where I’ve had victories in the past. Maybe the title is a bit out of reach now, but I really want to celebrate some nice results in the second half of the season and see how far I can go.”The 2021 MotoGP™ season will kick off again on August 8th in Austria and run until November, when the final will be held at Valencia. Keep tuned on how Team Suzuki Ecstar and their riders attack the second half. “I know I can get great results with my team and my bike, especially at some of the upcoming circuits like Silverstone and COTA where I’ve had victories in the past.” – ALEX RINS.MotoGP™
