Cooper celebrates the Superstock title at Oulton Park23The wins continued for Cooper at the tight and tricky Knockhill Circuit in Scotland. The Buildbase Suzuki rider took victory in race one from pole position, before the heavens opened making for a wet race two. Challenging for the lead in the first half of the race, the series leader eventually kept it safe and settled for second place.Cooper then stamped his dominance on round six at Snetterton, topping every session over the weekend, including setting pole TEAM SUZUKI RACING NEWSposition in qualifying by a whole second. He went on to win the 12-lap race by two-and-a-half seconds, and now held a 42.5-point advantage in the championship standings.Round seven at Thruxton saw Cooper once again in dominant form out front in the Superstock 1000 race, but an unusual drop in grip in the flnal laps cost him positions and saw him cross the line in fourth place. It was the first time the Buildbase Suzuki rider had finished ofi the podium this season.The disappointment was short-lived as Cooper stormed back on his GSX-R1000 at the next round at Cadwell Park, qualifying on pole position before leading the Superstock 1000 race from start to ffnish to take victory and a further increase in his points lead.Richard Cooper carried the #1 plate at Donington Park2019 Winter Issue“It’s been one of my best seasons ever.
