The 22-year old Spaniard, who was suffering with a stomach 03tEAM SUZUKI RACING NEWSproblem in the morning, took a brilliant start from the second row and was always in the leading group and always in podium contention, taking second position with 15 laps to go.After dropping back to fifth, as the lead and top positions swapped constantly in what was hailed one of the most exciting and close races in MotoGP history, Rins pushed hard again in the final laps, pulling a spectacular pass on the final chicane to score his best ever MotoGP result; and the best for the Team SUZUKI ECSTAR this season.Said Rins: “This morning I was feeling really sick with some problems with my stomach. But the doctors at Clinica Mobile gave me some medicine and it took away the pain, so I must really thank them, because when I felt better I thought ‘wow, this will be my race!’ It was a fantastic battle and I learned a lot of things during the race. “Our race pace was good and I was able to enjoy it! There were a lot of over-takes and tight moves, so I was always trying to push to stay with the others and hold my space. I feel very positive with my bike and with my team, we all really want to improve and win.
