Nothing simple, but despite having very delicate moments, hard, dificult to digest, especially when you don’t know very well what is happening and you see that once again after another obstacle arises. And yet, in a single year, I have learned many things.“The season started badly with an early injury on the second day that I got on the GSX-RR in Valencia. It hurt a lot, maybe more to know that the pre-season would not be ideal. I spent several months with pain after fracturing several vertebrae and that prevented me from 05tEAM SUZUKI rACInG nEwSreaching the beginning of the year in the best conditions.and that took me away from the circuit for a couple of months. Nobody knows how hard it is not to be able to ride a motorbike, train how “Then, before the race in Argentina, I hurt myself again, I broke the talus. And I relapsed in getting to know the bike better and get into MotoGP with more strength. And, to ffinish, complicating things further, the accident in Austin, Texas ended up demolishing a season that was more than a dream.“In the USA I broke my wrist on Saturday you usually do it, and see that your teammates are there, on the asphalt, race-after-race, and you watch everything on the television.“Fortunately, I was able to return without incident and finish the season in good shape. The fourth place in Valencia, where everything began, was the best way to close a circle that began with a lot of problems. In the end, I was able to straighten-out a situation that had become too complicated and ended-up close to the podium.“But overall it has been a fantastic experience. Running in MotoGP is the dream of any rider and mine was also a small one. Coming to fulfill it, and from the hand of a factory like Suzuki, with its history, its milestones, and in a team with which competed with legends like Barry Sheene, Kevin Schwantz and Kenny Roberts Jr. has been more than a pleasure.
