Each track is different and each rider is different, which makes it challenging to achieve the best result. He has been Kevin’s mechanic for the last four years. Dave is responsible for the RM-Z450WS bikes and assists Kevin at all races in every way possible. He tries to work out the particular requests of Kevin at each race, depending on track type and weather conditions. Dave makes sure that the best bike is at the start gate speciThc to Kevin’s needs. D.O.B: 17 APRIL 1987NATIONALITY: IRISHPART OF THE TEAM SINCE 2016 As the personal mechanic of Arminas Jasikonis, Paul Conway has the job to make all the bikes race ready for the young Lithuanian. He joined the team at the end of 2016, so for both Arminas and Paul it’s their Thrst full season with the team and they are determined to get the maximum out of it. Paul has been working in the motocross world for 13 years now, Thve of those on the GP circuit. He has always been a personal mechanic, so he knows how to do the job the right way. This means the Frenchman takes care of Kevin Strijbos’ and Arminas Jasikonis’ training bikes. He goes training with both riders depending on their program. All team riders try to train together as much as possible to create a great group dynamic. Kevin also assists the rider’s mechanics when help is needed. DATE OF BIRTH: 7 MAY 1969NATIONALITY: GERMANPART OF THE TEAM SINCE 2008Thomas Hannecke has been involved in the workings of the MX2 team from the beginning in 2008 with talented rider Ken Roczen. He has helped the team grow from one rider in the MX2 class to three riders in MX2 and one in the EMX250 class this season. Thomas is responsible for the Thnancial side of the team, which is supported by Suzuki Deutschland. He makes sure sponsor contracts are made and maintained and he aids in the marketing support for the MX2 team.Marc Ver Paelen has been with the team since 2007. He started as Ken Roczen’s mechanic in 2008 and in the past, he also was Desalle’s mechanic. He has had different functions in the team. Last year, Marc was Engine Mechanic for the MX2 team; this year he combines this job with the function of Chief Mechanic MX2. The experienced Belgian is for sure the right person for the job. Just like Frank Schroyen in the MXGP team, Marc coordinates and advises the mechanics. Together with SMC he’s constantly looking to improve the Suzuki RM machines.2017 Issue #1 - Summer
