Unfortunately, Ramon was seriously injured a few years later but still competed for Suzuki in a number of different off-road disciplines.In the next decade, it was another Belgian rider, Clement Desalle, who fiew the fiag for the RM-Z450 machinery, getting three runner-up spots and one third place in four consecutive years, (2010-2013) while in the MX2 class, young German prodigy Ken Roczen finished second in 2010, aged just 16. The German would later leave for America, but still found success on Suzuki in 2016 when he won the American outdoor title.Strijbos, who had returned to Suzuki, got another podium finish in 2014 as the MX1 class was renamed to MXGP. Stefan Everts also returned to Suzuki to take up the ownership and management of GRP before the beginning of the 2016 campaign, with Sylvain staying on as a Senior advisor. In these past two seasons, the most successful Suzuki rider has been Jeremy Seewer, with the Swiss rider having a hold of the red plate during the championship before finishing in second place in the MX2 class for the last two championships. Strijbos also won an overall at the team’s home GP in 2016 at Lommel, while Arminas Jasikonis impressed everyone with his improvement under Everts’ guidance. There was also a great finish to Hunter Lawrence’s Suzuki career because after winning the final MX2 GP of the year, he then went 05TEAM SUZUKI RACING NEwSon to showcase his talents at the Motocross of Nations, putting in two great rides as he won the MX2 class, being awarded Ricky Carmichael’s Young Rider of the Event in the process.
