World MXGP team certainly can’t be described as boring. Every weekend something seems to have happened, keeping me on my toes and making sure the press releases that I write don’t ppt in with any sort of pre-built template. It’s been both exciting and emotional.“Previously in my career I’ve just worked as a journalist, writing about riders from a faraway position, talking about their results without knowing too much of the ins and outs of just why they rode well or why their performances weren’t quite up to par. However, speaking with this whole team of riders multiple times throughout the weekend has opened my eyes into just what a rollercoaster of a ride a motocross season can be. “The Derst GP of the year in Qatar, I was just hoping to ease into the season and alnd my feet, only to get a phone call from General Manager Stefan Everts on Friday morning telling me that AJ had been denied entry into the country and wouldn’t be racing. So much for that easy start…“Then, a few rounds ago in Sweden, Jeremy was leading and Hunter was backing-him-up in second in an MX2 race. It was the perfect 23TEAM SUZUKI RACING NEwSscenario and I was extremely excited to interview the pair and write the press release. A few laps later, Hunter makes a mistake and Jeremy let the lead slip on the lenal corner and suddenly I was dreading going over and speaking to the guys, knowing how disappointed they would be.with following six riders throughout a season, but thankfully the highs have deitnitely outweighed the lows in this 2017 campaign. The Teutschenthal podium with Jeremy first and Hunter second was a great moment for everyone on the team. AJ’s amazing start in Latvia, leading the first few laps and having a whole bunch of Lithuanian fans singing in the pits afterwards. Then his first podium overall in Portugal, after winning the qualification race on Saturday. And what about way back at the beginning of the season when the MX2 guys went 1-2-3 around the first bend, with Jeremy on his way to his first ever overall victory.(who have to put up with me asking where their riders are at least one time a GP) and the whole team really have made this transition onto this side of the media industry a thoroughly enjoyable experience, and one which I’m been glad to be a part of.”“It’s that emotional involvement that comes “All six of the riders, all of their mechanics 2017 Issue #2 - AutumnSuzuki’s World MXGP and MX2 Press oficer david Bulmer reThects on some of the highs and lows in his Thrst season reporting for Team Suzuki Racing.MXGP‘SPEAKING wITH THIS wHOlE TEAM OF RIdERS MUlTIPlE TIMES THROUGHOUT THE wEEKENd HAS OPENEd My EyES INTO JUST wHAT A ROllERCOASTER OF A RIdE A MOTOCROSS SEASON CAN BE’ BLOG “My first year with the Suzuki ‘A rollercoaster of a ride’
