50TEAM SUZUKI RACING NEWSSuzuki’s long-awaited GSX-R1000/R was finally unveiled to the world at the INTERMOT International Motorcycle, Scooter and Bicycle Fair in Cologne, Germany with Suzuki’s 1993 World Grand Prix Champion Kevin Schwantz riding the class-leading Superbike into centre stage at the beginning of October.Also introduced were the GSX-R125, the GSX-S750, all-new V-Strom 1000/ V-Strom 1000XT and V-Strom 650/ V-Strom 650XT.During his presentation, Toshihiro Suzuki, President, CEO and COO of Suzuki Motor Corporation said: “Today you will see that we are continuing to build the Suzuki brand and the position of motorcycles as a core part of Suzuki’s entire business group. As part of this, we are introducing enhanced model series that can be enjoyed by everyone, from people just starting out on a bike through to veteran riders. Looking ahead, there is much more to come from Suzuki as we strive to produce refreshing, creative products that exceed expectations in every possible way.”Mr Suzuki, who was also joined by Masayoshi Ito, Executive General Manager, Motorcycle Operation at INTERMOT and then EICMA in November, presented a further four new machines; the GSX250R, Burgman 400, GSX-S125 and V-Strom 250.Suzuki Motor Corporation announced a total of 9 exciting new 2017 production models at this year’s Intermot Show in Germany and EICMA Show in Italy.Season Review #2
