The 2016 Endurance penultimate round, the hotly-contested Suzuka 8-Hour race at Suzuka Circuit in Japan at the end of July, saw the four-round series blasted wide open with the finale this coming weekend in Oschersleben, Germany ready to celebrate any one of several teams as World Champions, including three Suzuki GSX-R1000s: 14-time World Champions Suzuki Endurance Racing Team (SERT), Team April and Team R2CL are all in the running for the coveted crown, as just 33 points separate the top-10 with a maximum of 35 points available to the winning team.
