Suzuki signs MoU with the Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar to promote joint research and development

Suzuki R&D Center India Private Limited (hereinafter "SRDI"), an Indian subsidiary of Suzuki Motor Corporation, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (hereinafter "IITGN") to promote research and development, technological advancement, human resource exchange, and open innovation.

Under this MoU, Suzuki, through SRDI and in collaboration with IITGN, will explore the potential for joint research and technological development in fields such as advanced and next-generation materials including nanocarbon technology, sensing technology, and micro-mobility-related technologies. Additionally, both parties will engage in human resource exchanges—including student, researcher, and engineer internships, project participation, and recruitment—as well as co-creation utilizing the IITGN Research Park* ecosystem.

Suzuki is advancing the creation of technologies and value rooted in the challenges of local communities and customers by strengthening its India-based R&D structure and collaborating with universities, research institutions, and startups. Through this partnership, Suzuki aims to create innovations in future mobility and related fields by combining India's outstanding research capabilities and talent with the knowledge Suzuki has cultivated in the mobility sector.
