Suzuki Introduces the new Compact SUV Brezza in India

Maruti Suzuki India Limited (hereinafter “Maruti Suzuki”), the Indian automobile subsidiary of Suzuki Motor Corporation, has unveiled the new Brezza compact SUV. The new Brezza will be manufactured at Maruti Suzuki’s Kharkhoda plant and sold through the Arena showrooms across India.

Since its launch in 2016, the Brezza has been a key model driving Maruti Suzuki’s SUV business, earning strong customer reputation as a stylish urban compact SUV. Cumulative sales in India have crossed the 1.4 million mark.

The new Brezza features a redesigned front grille and bumper, further enhancing its bold SUV character and sporty appeal. The powertrain lineup includes a newly added 1.0-liter Turbo Boosterjet engine delivering a more engaging and sporty driving experience and a refined 1.5-liter Dual Jet engine.

Adding to this is a 1.5-liter CNG variant with the idle start stop. The CNG variant is compatible with biogas, a carbon-neutral fuel, and adopts an underbody tank layout that positions the CNG tank beneath the vehicle floor, ensuring excellent luggage space and practicality.

In terms of safety, the new Brezza has achieved the highest 5-Star rating under the Bharat New Car Assessment Programme (BNCAP), India’s vehicle safety assessment program.

SUVs have become the primary growth driver of the Indian passenger vehicle market, accounting for approximately 60% of total market sales in FY2025^*1. Through the introduction of the new Brezza, Suzuki will further strengthen its SUV lineup and continue to expand sales and enhance brand value by responding to the diverse needs of customers in India.
