Suzuki Starts Commercial Production at Second Plant in
Kharkhoda in India

Suzuki Motor Corporation’s Indian automobile subsidiary, Maruti Suzuki India Limited, has commenced commercial production at its second production plant of Kharkhoda manufacturing facility (annual capacity: 250,000 units). Second production plant will produce SUV, “Victoris”. With the start of operations at the second plant, the total annual production capacity of the Kharkhoda facility will increase to 500,000 units.
Suzuki currently operates four manufacturing facilities in India: Gurugram, Manesar, Hansalpur, and Kharkhoda. With this expansion, Suzuki’s total annual production capacity in India will reach 2.65 million units. Within the first half of current fiscal year, company plans to start operations at the fourth production plant of Hansalpur manufacturing facility (annual capacity: 250,000 units), reaching total production capacity of 2.9 million units.
In fiscal year 2025, Maruti Suzuki’s annual production volume in India reached 2.34 million units. Exports from India also increased significantly mainly toward Africa, Japan & Europe countries, to 448,000 units (up 35% year-on-year), achieving record high result for both production and exports units.
Suzuki is continuing to expand its production capacity in India to meet growing domestic demand while also strengthening its role as a global export hub, aiming to establish a production system capable of producing 4 million units annually in India over the mid term.
