Suzuki Announces New Luxury Scooter BURGMAN STREET

Suzuki Motorcycle India Private Limited (SMIPL), Suzuki Motor Corporation’s motorcycle subsidiary in India, has announced the new BURGMAN STREET, a luxury scooter designed for everyday use such as commuting to work or school. With this full model change, the design has been renewed and equipment has been enhanced, resulting in an easy-to-use, high-quality commuter worthy of a luxury scooter. Sales will begin in India in April 2026, followed by export to over 100 countries and regions.

The design features sharp yet elegant lines, creating a refined and modern appearance. The headlight with LED position lights enhances a sense of premium quality while expanding the illuminated area, improving visibility during nighttime riding.
The engine has been updated through revisions to internal components and settings. The maximum torque is set at lower rpm, ensuring fuel efficiency while achieving strong acceleration for urban riding.
The frame has also been updated, achieving a weight reduction of approximately 500 grams and a 25% improvement in torsional rigidity. These enhancements improve straight-line stability and handling performance, delivering a nimble ride.

For added comfort and convenience, an ignition switch which can unlock the fuel lid and under-seat storage has been adopted. The under-seat storage capacity has also been expanded, making it capable of accommodating a full-face helmet^*.
The premium trim package versions are equipped with a keyless system that enables engine start with the smart key. In addition, a color TFT display with smartphone connectivity has been adopted, offering excellent usability and further enhancing ease of use in everyday riding.
