Suzuki agrees with the State of Haryana, India to purchase land
Suzuki Motor Corporation’s automobile subsidiary Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL), and motorcycle subsidiary Suzuki Motorcycle India Private Limited (SMIPL), have agreed with the State of Haryana, India, to purchase land in Kharkhoda, Haryana on 13 May 2022. The purchased land is intended for the future construction of new facilities including automobile and motorcycle plants.
The land purchase is in line with Suzuki’s management strategy, which aims to provide diverse choices of mobility in India where there is continuous economic growth, and strengthen production capacity along with the growth of the Indian automobile market.

Suzuki currently produces automobiles in MSIL’s Gurgaon Plant and Manesar Plant both located in Haryana, and Suzuki Motor Gujarat’s plant located in Gujarat. Motorcycles are produced in SMIPL’s plant located in Haryana. The total production volume of FY2021 is 1.66 million units of automobiles and 0.75 million units of motorcycles.
