Change in Organisation and Personnel

Suzuki Motor Corporation has made the following change in organisation, operational responsibilities of Managing Officers, and personnel of general managers and managers as of 1 July, 2017.

1. Change in Organisation

<New establishment of organisation and reorganisation of divisions>

  • - Aimed to reinforce cooperation between quality assurance and service of customer-related departments, Customer Quality Assurance and Service is newly established by consolidating Customer Quality Assurance and functions of domestic and overseas automobile services.
  • - Automobile Powertrain/Electronic & Electrical System Design Division of Automobile Engineering is divided into Automobile Powertrain Division 1 and Automobile Powertrain Division 2.
  • - Automobile Engineering Analysis Division of Automobile Engineering is organised in Automobile Engineering Quality Design Division.

<Customer Quality Assurance and Service>

  • - Automobile Quality Research Department, Motorcycle Quality Research Department, Quality Information Management Department, Service Engineering Department, Domestic Service Department, and Overseas Service Department belong to Customer Quality Assurance and Service.

<Automobile Engineering, Research & Development>

  • - Automobile Powertrain System Development Department and Automatic Transmission Development Department belong to Automobile Powertrain Division 1.
  • - Automobile Engine Design Department, Automobile Transmission Design Department, and Automobile Powertrain Testing Department belong to Automobile Powertrain Division 2.
  • - Automobile Platform Development Department is newly established in Automobile Body/Platform Division.
  • - Automobile Performance Engineering Department, Automobile Engineering Quality Design Department, and Benchmarking & Teardown Center belong to Automobile Engineering Quality Design Division.
  • - Connected Business Project is newly established in Research & Development.

<Motorcycle Operations>

  • - Motorcycle Line I and Motorcycle Line II are organised as Motorcycle Line.
  • - Motorcycle Body/Electric Design Department is divided into Motorcycle Body Design Department and Motorcycle Electric Design Department.
