2012 Beijing International Automotive Exhibition

Suzuki Motor Corporation will co-exhibit at the 2012 Beijing International Automotive Exhibition held in Beijing, China from 23 April, 2012 to 2 May, 2012 with its joint venture company Chongqing Changan Suzuki Automobile, Co., Ltd. (Changan Suzuki).

Following the 82nd Geneva International Motor Show, two concept cars G70^*1 and Swift Range Extender^*2 will be exhibited, along with 10 marketed models such as those produced by Changan Suzuki.

In 2011, Suzuki marked its highest-ever 300,000 units of automobile sales in China. To ensure its growth in China, Changan Suzuki will soon make its production capacity to 500,000 units.

G70

G70 is a next-generation global compact car which realizes ultra-low fuel consumption by pursuing weight saving and aerodynamics. By making its weight as light as 730kg, improving the aerodynamics, and equipping a 800cm³ direct-injection turbo gasoline engine and an Engine Auto Stop Start System with regenerative braking, it realizes low emission and fuel consumption of a hybrid car.

Swift Range Extender

Designed primarily for day-to-day tasks such as shopping and transporting passengers, Swift Range Extender can cover about 30km^*3 (JC08 mode) on a complete battery charge. With an engine-driven generator starting to charge the battery when it runs low, the driver can make longer journeys without worrying about a flat battery.
