Suzuki Motor Corporation’s two Pakistani subsidiaries-Pak Suzuki Motor Co., Ltd., which makes and markets automobiles, and Suzuki Motorcycles Pakistan Ltd., which makes and markets motorcycles-have agreed to merge, with Pak Suzuki Motor taking over Suzuki Motorcycles Pakistan.
The merger has been approved by the Boards of Directors of each company and now awaits approval by a general meeting of shareholders of each company and by the Honorable High Court of Sindh.
With Pak Suzuki Motor producing and marketing both automobiles and motorcycles following the merger, it will be possible to enhance Suzuki’s brand value in Pakistan, improve operational efficiency, and pursue growth in Suzuki automobile and motorcycle sales.
