Presenting GSX-R1000 Concept, New SV650/A for 2016The stage at the EICMA in Milan in November was the perfect venue for unveiling Suzuki models that show what we have to look forward to in 2016 and beyond. Using cutting-edge technologies developed in Suzuki’s return to the MotoGP, the GSX-R1000 concept is engineered based on Suzuki’s decades of success in GSX-R racing. Made with our commitment to the highest levels of performance and quality, the GSX-R1000 concept aims to satisfy sport-minded riders all over the world.Suzuki also presented new models for 2016 including the SV650/A and the Vanvan200. The SV650/A is an updated version of Suzuki’s iconic motorcycle known for its sporty personality and the performance of its lively mid-sized Suzuki V-twin engine. The Vanvan200 is the newest member of a family of bikes with a retro image that have long been a favourite of urban riders but also a fun ride for riders looking for adventure on the open road.Team Suzuki to be a Force in MotoGP, EWC and MXGPThe big news for Suzuki on the track in 2015 was our solid return to MotoGP. In 2016 we are aiming to place higher in the standings and encouraged by our improvements to our GSX-RR machines. Maverick Vinales won Rookie of the Year for 2015 season and we are pleased that he and Aleix Espargaro are with us again this year.In 2015 SERT kept up its strong showings in the Endurance World Championship series winning our 14th title, the 11th with the GSX-R1000. These grueling races of 8 or 24 hours are a test of both man and machine. We are hoping that Suzuki’s outstanding team spirit will help us to win again this year. MXGP had its ups and downs in 2015. For 2016 we are welcoming Stefan Everts, winner of an unprecedented 10 world championship titles as our new team manager.
