SUZUKI FAMILYSeptember 201510/11 Suzuki Marine Active at Shanghai’s Big Boat Show, CIBS2015 The Suzuki booth at the China (Shanghai) International Boat Show (CIBS 2015) held in Shanghai 9-12 April, 2015 featured Suzuki Outboard Motors new slogan, “The Ultimate 4-Stroke Outboard”. This was the 20th year for the CIBS which has been growing from strength to strength along with developments in the Chinese outboard market. Fittingly, Suzuki’s booth featured a display highlighting the 50th anniversary.At the Suzuki exhibit the keyless system and electronic remote control attracted particular attention. Suzuki Marine’s Chinese dealer Xiamen also participated in CIBS 2015 with effective displays of Suzuki Marine products. CIBS 2015 was an outstanding opportunity for the dealers from Suzuki Marine’s Chinese distribu-tor, Suzuki Motor China Investment Co., LTD., to use their excellent network to promote Suzuki products effectively. Suzuki’s Larger Motorcycles Flash Appeal at Jakarta FairSMC was pleased with the high level of traffic in its booth at the Pekan Raya Jakarta (PRJ) or Jakarta Fair held from 29th May to 5th July. The Fair attracted half a million visitors and many of them had a chance to have a good look at Suzuki model line-ups. With high growth in the ASEAN economies, it appears more and more customers in the region will be buying larger motorcycles. To respond to this demand, Suzuki introduced their larger models such as GSX1300R, GSX-S1000, GSR750 and DL650.The display of the GSX-RR and RM-Z250 received special attention since they are currently appearing in the MotoGP and All Japan Motocross Championship. With its high profile and attractive motorcycle models Suzuki is well positioned to take advantage of the market growth in this dynamic region. Full Line-up Exhibited by Suzuki Motors at Bangkok InternationalMotor Show 2015Thai Suzuki Motor Co., Ltd displayed the full range of its bike world class products at the 36th Bangkok International Motor Show 2015. Under the slogan “Suzuki Way of Life!” a highlight of the exhibit was “Team SUZUKI ECSTAR’s” Suzuki GSX-RR, giving the Thai audience its first chance to see Suzuki’s superbike in its much-heralded return to the MotoGP circuit.At a press conference on 24th March, Toshihiro Suzuki, then Representative Director and Executive Vice President of Suzuki Motor Corporation, spoke about the concept of “Suzuki Racing Spirit” in his remarks to open the Suzuki booth. The Suzuki booth had three zones, one to display Suzuki’s motorcycles, the AFF Suzuki Cup Zone and a zone featuring accessories and souvenirs.The Suzuki booth won the Best Design Award, the Suzuki V-Strom 1000 was recognized as “The Best Import Bike Under 1000cm3”, and the Suzuki VanVan 125 was awarded “The Best Import Bike Under 125cm3.”
