(SMAI) hosted nine leading Suzuki retail dealers for an exclu-sive Suzuki test team event at the Circuit of The Americas (COTA) Grand Prix facility near Austin, Texas, following round 2 of the MotoGP race series in April. This was the sole U.S. appearance this year of Suzuki’s all new MotoGP race bike as Suzuki prepares to return to MotoGP in 2015. Winning dealers with VIP status enjoyed a few days with members of the Yoshimura Suzuki Factory Racing team, including Martin Cardenas, Roger Hayden and Chris Clark as well as Suzuki MotoGP test riders Randy DePu-niet, Nobuatsu Aoki and special guest rider Kevin Schwantz. “It was awesome,” said General Manager Tim Sifferle of Carol Stream (Illinois); “...a once-in-a-lifetime event,” said Sales Manager Eric Knobel of Riva Motorsports Miami. Finally, former Endurance World Champion Richard Hubin and his younger teammate Gregory Fastré won the 4-hour Spa Classic on a Suzuki!
