1994 | RF900R
High-performance tourer with supreme overall balance
Overseas exports of the RF900R, the largest displacement model in the RF series, started in October 1993. A powerful 900 cm³ water-cooled 4-cylinder DOHC engine with a maximum horsepower rating of 89 PS is paired with a pressed steel diamond frame, resulting in a superbly rideable machine with an impressive range of capabilities from powerful take-offs at low speeds to smooth cruising at high speeds. The ergonomics created by optimizing the positioning of the handlebars, seat, and footpegs through in-depth analysis and engineering provides the ideal riding position for both sporty and long-distance riding. The chassis is fully faired with flowing curves to help reduce fatigue caused by wind buffeting and to protect the rider from heat damage when touring during the summer or riding on congested roads. The RF900R was specifically designed with an optimum balance between sportiness, comfort, and practicality.
