1963 | Sport 50M12
Suzuki’s first agile and sporty 50 cm³ model
Despite the “Sport” in the name, this model was developed for convenience in any application, including commuting and pleasure, without limiting its appeal to dedicated fans of sports bikes. The engine generates maximum horsepower of 5 PS. In the same way as the Sport 80K11, the Sport 50M12 incorporates various notable features, such as telescopic front forks for high maneuverability, fully waterproof brakes for stable riding performance in the wet, a muffler positioned high up on the side of the body, and metallic fenders.

Thoroughbred sporty model inspired by GP racing machines
The AS50 is a genuine lightweight sporty model with style that evokes the image of GP racing models. The high-revving high-power racing type engine is mounted on a lightweight and robust V-bone frame and generates maximum horsepower of 6 PS at 9,000 rpm. This engine is paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. The Sport AS50 is the highest performance 50 cm³ class model of its time, reaching a top speed of 95 km/h and a 0-to-200 m acceleration time of 13.15 seconds. This model also comes fully equipped with parts designed to project the image of a typical racing machine at the time, including a muffler positioned high up on the side of the body, a sharply designed fuel tank, a racer-style seat end portion, and tapered handlebars.

Scrambler style model based on the AS50
The AC50 combines the same basic performance and mechanicals as the AS50 with scrambler style parts equipped as standard, including handlebars with a bridge, an automatically returning foot step, and a muffler positioned high up on the side of the body. The fuel tank is also shaped to be easily held between the knees for riding on rough roads. A large number of racing kit parts were also prepared so that the model can be converted into a genuine motocrosser.

1970 | Scrambler AC50
Scrambler style model that can be converted into a motocrosser
This is a model change of the Scrambler AC50 that debuted in 1968. This high-performance model is particularly notable for its range of new visibility-enhancing features, such a large headlight, position lights, front brake light, turn signal buzzer, and side reflectors. In addition, with demand in the motorcycle market beginning to shift toward scrambler type models with off-road capability, kit parts that enable simple motocrosser conversion and kit parts for the transmission were launched at the same time.
