1978 | Youdy Mini
Lightweight and compact mini bike popular with female riders
The Youdy Mini features a lightweight and compact body with a dry weight of only 44 kg and a 50 cm³ air-cooled 2-stroke 1-cylinder engine. A rider-friendly design was created by adopting bicycle-style brakes and an automatic transmission that eliminates the need for shifting and allows the bike to be ridden simply using the throttle alone. Designed for smaller riders to mount with ease, the Youdy Mini is both easy to handle and ride. With the popular singer Masako Mori acting as its poster person in advertisements, this model became popular among a wide variety of riders, particularly women.
