Suzuki machine/rider take World Endurance Championship manufacturer and rider titles. Stephane Chambon wins World Supersport Series title, making it a 2-year consecutive title for the GSX-R600.

1998 Keiichi Kitagawa wins round 12, race 1 of Superbike World Championship. Fabrizio Pirovano piloting a GSX-R600 becomes series champion of World Supersport Series.
