CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE VALVE TIMING
The high performance camshafts in the DF250 provide excellent top-end performance, and variable valve timing provides strong acceleration and power in the low- and mid-rpm range. High performance engines
operate with a momentary overlap when both intake and exhaust valves are open. By controlling the length of this overlap through variable intake valve timing (advancing or retarding the opening of the intake valve), the DF250 generates a stronger power stroke in the mid-range,while reducing emissions and improving fuel economy.

An internal combustion engine is essentially an air pump – so the efficient flow of air is a critical performance component. The DF250 and DF225 feature an advanced multi-stage induction system. At lower rpm, intake air travels through a tuned intake pipe, to boost torque and maximize power. At higher rpm, a butterfly valve opens allowing intake air to enter through a short pipe, for higher volume, easier breathing and improved topend performance.

Suzuki’s newly formulated Suzuki Anti-Corrosion Finish starts with a special finish that offers maximum bonding of the finish to the Suzuki Aluminum Alloy. To this an epoxy primer undercoat, black metallic finish, and clear acrylic fiber finish are added to create an effective treatment against corrosion. This finish can be found on all 2004 4-stroke models from the DF25 and up.
