![]() Suzuki Introduces The DF6 To Its Power And Performance Packed Portable 4-Stroke Lineup. Suzuki’s portable 4-stroke lineup expands with the addition of the new 4.4kW (6PS) DF6. The DF6, along with the 3.7kW (5PS) DF5 and 2.9kW (4PS) DF4, offers the kind of outstanding power and performance that Suzuki is well known for. All three portables are designed compact and lightweight to make transport easier and incorporate some other features that make operation user friendly as well. USER FRIENDLY POWER At 138cm3, these three outboards offer the largest displacement found in this class of single cylinder 4-stroke outboards. Their single cylinder OHV designs are kept compact and lightweight so you can take maximum advantage of their excellent low- to mid-range torque. The tiller handle is attached to a longer steering bracket, which allows the operator to sit further forward in the boat. This aids in getting small inflatables up on a plane quicker. A 180-degree turning radius helps when docking and making tight turns. Smooth and without sharp angles, a large carrying handle offers plenty of space for both hands to assist when carrying the outboard. These outboards are the first ever to utilize an ignition coil equipped digital CDI ignition system for stable idling. Doubling as an over-rev limiter, this ignition system is compact lightweight and strong against corrosion. A tilt up handle built into the engine cover offers easy tilting from the normal drive position to any one of the two shallow water drive positions or tilt up position. MORE IDEAS THAT KEEP OPERATION EASY All three outboards are equipped with 1.5-liter fuel tanks which are the largest available in this 4-stroke outboard class. For longer excursions, the DF5 and DF6 are both equipped with a remote fuel connector (optional on the DF4) for use with an external tank. An optional 12V 6A alternator is the largest offered in this class and provides charging power from a low 2,200 rpm. A pilot water hole lets you know water is circulating soon after startup and an optional connector allows freshwater flushing of the water jacket. |
