Multi-point sequential fuel injection matches the air-fuel mixture precisely to engine needs so the engine responds the instant you open the throttle. The intake manifold has been carefully tuned to ensure that the engine delivers strong low-to-mid range torque for brisk acceleration. And it’s important to know that performance doesn’t come at the expense of good fuel economy. In fact, fuel economy with the DF40 and DF50 is up to 60% better at idle and up to 30% better at maximum performance levels than their 2-stroke counterparts. SMOOTH OPERATOR Suzuki also uses technology to make your boating more enjoyable. Solid state ignition ensures the engine starts without complaint, idles smoothly and accelerates without a hint of hesitation. These motors run nice and quiet thanks to insulated cowlings and long-track intake manifolds. An enclosed timing chain and automatic chain tensioner eliminate the need for periodic adjustment, and what little service is needed for the rest of the powerhead is simplified by a built-in computer diagnostic system.
