Change in Organisation and Personnel
Suzuki Motor Corporation will make the following changes in organisation, operational responsibilities of Managing Officers, and personnel of general managers as of 1 April 2018.
1. Change in Organisation
[Customer Quality Assurance and Service]
- - Automobile Quality Research Department will be divided into Automobile Body and Safety Research Department and Automobile Powertrain and Control Research Department.
[Global IT]
- - IT Strategy Department and IT Systems Department will be organised as IT Infrastructure Department and IT Systems Department, respectively.
[Domestic Marketing]
- - Marketing Area Manager will be organised as East Japan Marketing Department and West Japan Marketing Department.
[Research & Development]
- - Electric Vehicle Division and Advanced Technology Division will be newly established in Research & Development.
- - EV Development Department and Electric Mobility Development Department will be established in EV Development Division.
- - Yokohama R&D Center and Connected Business Department will be established in Technology Development Division.
[Automobile Engineering]
- - Automobile Powertrain System Development Department will be discontinued, and Automobile Powertrain Development Department, Automobile Engine Development Department, and Automobile Hybrid Design Department will be newly established in Automobile Powertrain Division 1.
- - Automatic Transmission Development Department will become Automobile Transmission Development Department.
- - Automobile Platform Development Department will become Automobile Platform and HMI Development Department.
- - Automobile Active Safety System Design Department will be newly established in Automobile Body/Platform Division.
