Suzuki receives Myanmar government’s approval
for the establishment of 100% invested subsidiary

Suzuki Motor Corporation has been approved by the Myanmar government for the establishment of a new company, which Suzuki had been applying for, aiming to resume automobile production in Myanmar, where Suzuki had been stopping its operation since 2010. Suzuki is now proceeding for the establishment of the new automobile production and sales subsidiary, Suzuki (Myanmar) Motor Co., Ltd. with 100% Suzuki investment.

Suzuki (Myanmar) Motor Co., Ltd. is scheduled to produce compact truck Carry at an existing plant located in Yangon, where the former Myanmar Suzuki Motor Co., Ltd. (closed in 2010) used to produce automobiles. It is planned to expand its automobile production and sales in Myanmar, as the infrastructure development advances in line with the economic liberalization.
