Suzuki decides to purchase land in Gujarat, India

Maruti Suzuki India Limited, Suzuki Motor Corporation’s automobile manufacturing and sales subsidiary in India, has decided to purchase land in Gujarat, located in western India. Maruti Suzuki has a view to building automobile plant in the future, for the purpose of meeting the increasing future demand of Indian automobile market, as well as cutting logistic cost to export to overseas markets.

Upon deciding to purchase the land, there had been an aggressive attraction from the Gujarat state government, and it is scheduled to officially signing with the state government soon.

Maruti Suzuki currently produces over 1.2 million units a year in its Gurgaon and Manesar plants together as a total, both located in the state of Haryana.
