CAMI Automotive Inc.(CAMI) achieved accumulated 2 million units automobile production

CAMI Automotive Inc.(CAMI), the Joint-venture company of Suzuki and General Motors achieved accumulated 2 million units automobile production in January 2006.

This plant was established in October 1986, with the capital investment by Suzuki and GM Canada, and has been providing passenger vehicles and trucks to North-American sales network of Suzuki and GM.

CAMI is now producing SUV for GM, Chevrolet “Equinox” and Pontiac “Torrent” by 200 thousand units/year. This year, CAMI plans to start production of new SUV in Suzuki brand which will have been developed on the basis of Concept-X, which was exhibited in Detroit Auto Show (NAIAS) in January 2005.
