Suzuki’s Chinese production/distribution joint venture company JIANGXI CHANGHE SUZUKI AUTOMOBILE CO., LTD. (JIANGXI CHANGHE SUZUKI) decided to make donation of 10 vehicles as an aid for the areas devastated by the earthquake of magnitude 5.7 in Jiangxi, China, occurred on 27th November 2005 for the Jiujiang government. The donation ceremony was held on 15th December 2005.

This earthquake hit the areas of Jiujiang and Rui Chang in Jiangxi and caused a considerable damage wrecking numerous houses and buildings. The company has established a new vehicle assembly plant in Jiujiang, but the damage to the new plant was not so serious one.

JIANGXI CHANGHE SUZUKI made donation of 10 units of “Carry Van” (Chinese name: Hai Xiang) to the Jiujiang government so that they will use the vehicles for the relief effort such as transportation of aid supplies.
