Suzuki Announces Diesel Engine Production at Maruti
We are pleased to announce that Suzuki Motor Corporation will start the production of diesel engines at Maruti Udyog Limited in 2006. Suzuki's decision has been made to meet growing demands for diesel-engine vehicles in the Indian market.
Suzuki Motor Corporation has entered into a Product License Agreement with FIAT AUTO S.p.A (Italy) and Adam Opel AG (Germany) to obtain Technology for manufacturing 4-cylindar 1.3L diesel engines with Common Rail Injection System at Maruti Udyog Limited from the end of 2006.
