Dynamic Partnerships Contributing to Overseas Market Strategy

Affiliates in Mexico and Sri Lanka play vital roles in global growth of the Suzuki brand, expanding distribution networks to increase market shares.

MEXICO
Suzuki Motor de Mexico S.A. de C.V.
Suzuki Motor Corporation (SMC) entered the Mexican automobile market last October, after automobile industry conditions were improved by the conclusion of the Economic Partnership Agreement between Mexico and Japan in April 2005.
Suzuki Motor de Mexico, which was initially appointed as an importer and distributor of motorcycles and outboard engines, has now expanded to handle import and distribution of automobiles. For the time being, the distributor sells the all-new Grand Vitara and the Aerio (Liana) Sedan.
Suzuki Motor de Mexico, which plans to sell 3,000 units in the year of 2006, started by establishing a sales network with five dealerships in three major cities where demand for automobiles is currently concentrated: Mexico City, Monterrey, and Guadalajara. The network will be expanded to meet growing demand.
