Canada's Two Oldest Suzuki Automobile Dealers Mark 20 Years
Milestones celebrated in style at November dealers meeting in Nassau, The Bahamas.

Trento Suzuki and St. Hubert Suzuki are the oldest and the second oldest,
respectively, of Suzuki?s 88 automobile dealers in Canada.

Trento Suzuki

Trento Suzuki, located in northwest Toronto near a large Italian community, has been owned and operated since 9 December 1980 by Mr. Renzo Moser and his wife Anna, who named it for Mr. Moser’s native Trento region in Italy.
Trento’s original facility was a 5,000 sq. ft. building with a 1,000 sq.ft. showroom. Today the dealership’s new two-million-dollar showroom and reception area covers 7,000 sq.ft., and the total facility, with service and body shop, includes approximately 23,000 sq. ft. The staff has also grown, from six to forty employees.
To top it all off, the dealership, under the leadership of Sales Manager Augustine Chan, averages annual sales of 400 units, making Trento Suzuki one of Canada’s largest sales-volume dealers.

St. Hubert Suzuki

Mr. Georges Chandonnet and his wife Florence opened the second-oldest Suzuki automobile dealership in St. Hubert, Canada, on 20 December 1980, on the south shore of the St. Lawrence River 15km from Montreal. After 15 years as a mechanic and administrator for International Truck, Inc, Mr. Chandonnet was ready to challenge the 4x4 market by opening a Suzuki new car dealership with the LJ80.
The family-owned and -operated business strongly emphasizes customer service. Florence has run the accounting department and administration for the dealership for the past 20 years and the Chandonnets’ son Eddy is now the Sales Manager. Customers are pleased to deal with the same employees and sales team year after year, and many have remained faithful since 1980.
The dealership’s strategy has been to always give excellent service, with the result that St. Hubert Suzuki’s annual sales average 150 units.
