Grand Vitara Vehicles Help Prevent Poaching of Wild Life in East Africa
A Suzuki Grand Vitara is helping governmental organizations protect wild animals in the Tanzania National Parks (TANAPA), where desertification and poaching in recent years have endangered many species of wild animals living on the savanna. The highly efficient 4x4 cross-country performance and sporty compact body of the Grand Vitara are proving ideal for use by savanna rangers, as is the Grove Green Pearl body colour.
The Grand Vitara was donated to the Tanzanian government by the Savanna Club, a Japanese non-governmental organization (NGO) founded in 1976. Club membership includes about 500 people from all walks of life who share great interest and affection for East Africa, as well as Ambassadors to Japan from East African countries, as honourable members. The Club has also presented one Grand Vitara each to the governments of Ethiopia, Kenya and Uganda.

Eleven-Year-Old Ken Roczen Blazes a Championship Trail in Youth Events
Ken Roczen is only 11 years old, but the young motocross rider has become German Youth Motocross Champion in the 85cc class for the second time, and has also attained second rank in the ADAC Junior Cup, which covers all of Europe. Great skill and experience are required to win over competitors who are mostly taller and a few years older, but Ken has triumphed more than 200 times.
"Because of his joyful performance, Suzuki International Europe GmbH (SIE) decided to support Ken in the season of 2005 and will continue to do so in the future," said Bert Poensgen, General Manager of Motorcycle Marketing & Sales.
Suzuki and other organizations also sponsored Ken's November 2005 trip to the Mini Olympics in Florid- one of the US's biggest and most famous Motocross events - where the young rider won all four qualification races in his class, the Standard 85cc and modified 85 for riders 7 to 11 years old.
