Young Pro Angler "Hooked" on Suzuki's DF70
Young (18 years) Bream angler Jesse Lomas is already making a name for himself among the ranks of professional anglers. Sponsored by Haines Suzuki Marine Pty. Ltd. (Suzuki Marine distributor in Australia and New Zealand), Jesse proved himself against top fishing pros in the inaugural Australian Bream Pro Tour in January.
"Competing in the Australian Bream Pro and fishing with such high profile anglers was a dream come true for me," Jesse said. "It's fantastic that Suzuki has backed professional angling in Australia."
Five events broadcast on national television were held on the Australian East Coast, from Brisbane down to Melbourne, and competitors were judged on their best five Bream caught at each location. With six professionals going head-to-head, Jesse faced some stiff competition. But he finished third and praised the performance of his Suzuki DF70 outboard for giving him an extra edge.
"Fishing with the Suzuki definitely gave me an advantage," Jesse said. "The performance of the Suzuki helped me get to my spots quickly and effortlessly and helped me to place highly."
Jesse, who has a bright future ahead in the professional circuit, offered advice to his fellow tournament anglers, "The quiet, smooth handling of the Suzuki is definitely an advantage in competitive angling and I recommend them on any tournament angler's boat." |
